Biostatistics
Areas of expertise include clinical trials and epidemiology, study design, survey methodology, decision theory, generalized linear models, longitudinal data analysis, survival analysis, structural equation models and diagnostic testing.

Environmental Health
Research areas reflect current and emerging health issues such as food insecurity, climate change, pollution and infectious diseases.

Epidemiology
Research areas focus on cancer, mental disorders, addiction, women’s health, chronic diseases, infectious diseases, bioinformatics, HIV and the environment.

Health Services Research
Faculty research has real-life application for improving health care delivery and patient outcomes for conditions such as sickle cell anemia, diabetes, hypertension and periodontal disease.

One Health
Research is designed to bridge the gap between various areas of animal, plant, and human health to improve the well being of all species.

Social and Behavioral Sciences
Faculty research areas include community-engaged research, health equity for underserved populations, tobacco cessation and health promotion for people with disabilities, prevention and treatment of adult obesity, and public health and educational technology.
