Graduates of the Ph.D. program will be able to:
1. Propose innovative and important research questions that advance public health knowledge through social and behavioral science concepts and theories.
2. Use social and behavioral science theories to inform a research question and research design.
3. Select appropriate social and behavioral science study designs and research methods (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods) to address social and behavioral science public health research questions.
4. Effectively communicate the findings and implications of social and behavioral science public health research.
